Clarice Floberg, 92 of Viking, MN passed away peacefully on Friday, December 3, 2021 at North Valley Health Center in Warren, MN.

Funeral Service will be 2:00 PM Saturday, December 11, 2021 at Rindal Lutheran Church, rural Viking, MN with Rev. Timothy Lundeen officiating. Burial will be at Viking Cemetery, Viking, MN. Visitation will be 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM with a 7:00 PM prayer service on Friday, December 10, 2021 at Rindal Lutheran Church. Visitation will also be one hour prior to the service on Saturday.

Clarice Amelia Halvorson was born November 5, 1929 on the family farm in Helgeland Township, Polk County, MN, the daughter of Hagebert and Anna (Stone) Halvorson.  She was baptized in the home of Reverend Thorvald Myhrer rural Newfolden, MN and confirmed at St. John Lutheran Church in Thief River Falls, MN.

She attended rural schools and graduated Newfolden High School in 1948.  Clarice attended Teacher's Training at Warren, MN and then Moorhead State University, Moorhead, MN where she attained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education.

On November 27, 1957, Clarice was united in marriage to Russell Floberg at Zion Lutheran Church, Viking, MN. The couple made their home on the farm, where they continued to reside. In 1998, the Floberg Farm celebrated its Centennial.

Clarice taught 10 years in rural schools and 30 years in elementary in Viking and Newfolden. She was awarded Teacher of the Year in 1998. She obtained her Lifetime Teaching Certificate and was inducted into the Marshall County Central Wall of Honor.

She enjoyed flower gardening, vegetable gardening, puzzles, crossword puzzles, cooking, baking, traveling, spending time at the lake and most of all loved spending time with family and especially kids.

Survived by daughters, Diane (Tim) Waterworth, Viking, MN and Dorene (Randy) Myers, Oshkosh, WI; daughter-in-law, Rose Floberg; grandchildren, Dana (Stephanie) Floberg, Carissa (Greg) Hufnagle, Jenna Floberg, Joshua Floberg, Miki (Mark) Augustine, Matt (Angie) Waterworth, Marcus (Trisha) Waterworth, Katelyn (Ben) Merwin, Brittany (Fred) Knapp, Riley Myers, Logan Myers; great-grandchildren, Abrianna, Auden, Sydney, Cullen, Sloane, Capp, Kaydence, Kelby, Karmyn, Maddie, Clara, Annabelle, Russell, Hazel, Liam, Weston, Amelia, Lizzy, Emma, Warren, Waylon & two on the way; brother, Curtis (Pam) Halvorson; cousins, Marie Engen & Lois Elseth; special friend, Darline Broten of 65 years; and many nieces, nephews, relatives, friends and former students.

Preceded in death by her husband, Russell in 2004, son, Duane "Dewey" Floberg; granddaughter, Shelby Myers; great-granddaughter, Greta Floberg; parents; brothers, Elmer, Chester and Kenneth Halvorson; nephew, James "Jimmy" Halvorson; special friends, Florence Borg, Anna Vixie, Gladys Stromberg and cousin "Nita Fulton".
